Nigel Lythgoe, Adam Shankman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Katie Holmes and Careen Friedland to Host Weekend Long Event October 14-16th
Proceeds from Opening Night Gala Will Benefit Dizzy Feet Foundation
Los Angeles, CA, September 21, 2011…The San Marino Gallery announced details today for the premiere of LA Art Experience, its three-day exhibition of contemporary works that will be displayed at the historic Majestic Halls in the Bank of America building in Downtown Los Angeles (650 South Spring Street) October 14-16. An opening night red carpet gala on Friday, October 14th from 7pm-11pm, will feature live music, performances by dancers from So You Think You Can Dance with special appearances from the judges and choreographers, and over 100 masterpieces by San Marino Gallery’s leading artists from around the world.
Proceeds from the gala will benefit the Dizzy Feet Foundation. The event is sponsored by Little Twig and tickets for opening night are $150 per person or $250 per pair. Founded in 2009, the Dizzy Feet Foundation is dedicated to supporting dance education in the United States with an illustrious board that includes Nigel Lythgoe, Adam Shankman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Katie Holmes. With extraordinary dance performances, eclectic international cuisine and spirits and a star-studded red carpet, the gala premiere of LA Art Experience will be an elegant evening that will long be remembered.
Following the gala premiere, the celebration will continue on Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm showcasing the same exquisite artwork. On Saturday, there will be live performances by established dance academies throughout Los Angeles. Tickets are $20 for Saturday or Sunday’s event.

The San Marino Gallery represents masters of modern art, both new and established, in mediums from painting and sculpture to glass and photography. LA Art Experience will showcase installations of dynamic and influential artists, including American painter Anthony Waichulis’ incredibly detailed, life-like oil paintings of everyday objects, and Belgian artist Georges Monfils’ original pop art created from unusual materials.
During the weekend, LA art enthusiasts will recognize the Art Truck, the twenty-four foot mobile San Marino Gallery that houses artworks for public display. Equipped with multi-media capabilities, the truck travels throughout Los Angeles a revolving exhibition of original works of art. The Art Truck currently features Mr. Monfils’ well-known piece “King of Pop,” a portrait of Michael Jackson made entirely of the late star’s vinyl records.
